The centre was established to respond to the need for safe, accessible victim support within the community. Today it continues to offer care, protection, and prevention services with dignity at the centre of every response.

Short-term shelter support for women and children in need of protection and a safe environment to heal.

Local support with a growing reach.

Vusithemba serves beneficiaries from within and outside the local area, including women and accompanying children. The organisation also works with stakeholders across health, education, justice, social development, faith-based organisations, and local government.

2024/25 reach

50 people reached through psychosocial support, 25 admissions, and 998 people reached through awareness campaigns.

Vocational empowerment

Beneficiaries take part in crocheting, baking, and gardening to encourage self-sufficiency after discharge.
